Pastoral life day to day
The middle school strives to become a community that seeks to live unity in diversity.
Pastoral “sharing” workshops take place in even-numbered weeks and give young people moments of exchange and fellowship while working on projects together: mosaics, games, sewing, singing.
The school’s Oratory is open every Thursday (from 12h30 to 13h30) for young people who wish to take a moment for reflection, silence, prayer…
In 6e
All pupils are supported in small groups of 7 to 8 young people with a leader, for one hour a week. Two paths are offered:
- Continuing (or beginning) the journey towards God, with catechism and the celebration of the Profession of Faith
- Reflection and religious culture
In 5ème and 4ème
Six sessions of reflection and religious culture a year are given to pupils as a whole class.
Passing on the faith
The Pastoral life team supports all young people who wish to prepare to receive a sacrament:
- Baptism
- First Communion
- Confirmation (from 5e)
Preparation takes place every Tuesday in even-numbered weeks. Throughout the year, young people are invited to share moments of faith (Masses, diocesan events) and retreats are organised for each preparation.
Profession of Faith
6e pupils may, if they wish, prepare for the Profession of Faith (celebrated at the start of 5e). One hour of catechism is set aside for them every Thursday morning. A retreat is scheduled in September, during school time, before the celebration of the Profession of Faith (early October).
Confirmation
Pupils in 3ème can prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation. We meet every Tuesday in even-numbered weeks and go on a 24-hour retreat at a religious house.
