Pastoral life at the school

Faith awakening, catechesis, First Communion and celebrations throughout the year.

Celebration at church with the pupils

KT (catechism)

Tuesdays from 15h50 to 16h50, registration required.

It is run by volunteers from the Pastoral life team, coordinated by Caroline de Cointet, who give their time to share their faith with the youngest pupils.

  1. Final year of nursery (GS)

Faith awakening for the little ones begins in the final year of nursery school (GS).

  2. CE1

A year of transition: too old for faith awakening but too young for catechism, they make this change gently!

  3. CE2

    Catechesis begins in CE2.

  4. CM1

First Communion is offered to children who have attended catechism for 2 years. Children can also prepare to receive baptism.

Pastoral life in the classroom

Our school is Catholic not only through catechesis but also through everything that is lived out within the school.

Several times a year, pupils explore themes in class from a pastoral perspective and take part in Masses and celebrations (All Saints’ Day, Advent, Epiphany, Easter). Teachers may, if they wish, invite Caroline de Cointet to lead a session.

Traditionally on Good Friday, an apple-and-pasta meal is offered to pupils from CE2 upwards. The proceeds are donated to a charity.

Admissions

Pre-registration open

Each admission begins with a meeting with one of the heads of school, followed by a meeting with the bursar. Parents attend the appointment with their child.
